White River Alliance Announces Seventh Annual Indiana Water Summit
The White River Alliance (WRA), a leading organization for regional water resource protection in Indiana, is hosting the Seventh Indiana Water Summit on August 21st-22nd. The event aims to facilitate a statewide conversation focused on safeguarding the future of Indiana's water resources. It will take place at the Biltwell Event Center in Indianapolis.

With a growing interest in water management, the Water Summit provides a unique opportunity for professionals, public officials, and the general public to learn about critical water issues and explore strategies for advancing water protection and sustainability.

The Summit has outgrown its previous venue and will now be held at the larger Biltwell Event Center. The topics covered are intended to build on last year's discussions and will contribute to the development of a state water plan. This comprehensive framework will identify available water supplies, estimate current and projected water demands, address water quality requirements, and recommend strategies to meet those needs. The event will cover a range of integrated water topics, including PFAS and water law, and will feature an interactive Summit conversation with members of the Summit Working Group.

The 2024 Water Summit will kick off with a presentation by Vanessa Green Sinders, President of the Indiana Chamber, on the importance of water to Indiana's quality of life and prosperity. Registration is now open, and new this year, Water Summit participants have the opportunity to join a "River School" float on the morning of Friday, August 23rd for $50. Please note that the River School float event is limited to 32 participants and is exclusive to Water Summit attendees.
