Indy SurviveOars is a non-profit organization that unites breast cancer survivors through the sport of dragon boat racing. The group provides hope, inspiration, and camaraderie to those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, with a focus on promoting health and physical activity. Studies have shown that the rigorous, upper body exercise involved in the sport can help reduce the risk of breast cancer and improve overall survivability and quality of life. Volunteers lead Indy SurviveOars and is one of 53 breast cancer survivor teams in the US that offers ongoing support to those coping with a diagnosis of breast cancer.
